Jackery Explorer 1000 v2 | Black Portable Power Station
Preparedness Role: Your Base Power Station
The standard black-and-orange Explorer 1000 v2, a versatile 1kWh-class unit for essential devices, camping, and short outages.
Start small, expand later: Choose the base unit based on continuous watts and watt-hours. This model has a fixed built-in battery and does not support external expansion packs.
Start Here — Choose Your Essential Loads
Calculate the watts each device draws, expected operating hours and whether appliances start simultaneously. Your station's continuous AC rating limits what can run at once; watt-hours are a starting point for estimating runtime. At approximately 100W of steady use, plan for about 8–9 hours depending on load and conversion losses; actual runtime varies.
Solar Recharge Options
Consult the Explorer 1000 v2 solar-input ratings and manufacturer-approved Jackery cable and panel combinations. The 1000 v2 is not compatible with Explorer 1000 Plus battery packs.
Do not exceed the manufacturer's voltage, current, connector or solar-input ratings. Real solar output varies with sunlight, shade, season and temperature.

Important to Know
- Read the U.S. user manual and check ports and cables before connecting equipment.
- Do not connect a portable station directly to household wiring without approved transfer equipment and qualified installation.
- US model: 120V, 60Hz AC output. This is the black standard version, not the Dune White edition or HomePower 1000 v2.
- Runtime and charging claims are estimates; real results vary with load and conditions.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does this work without an external battery?
Yes, the main station has its own built-in battery. It cannot take an external expansion battery.
How do I choose solar panels?
Use your exact station model, manufacturer-approved cables and panel specifications. Contact us before connecting more than one solar panel.
What is the difference between watts and watt-hours?
Watts indicate how much power equipment can draw at once; watt-hours indicate energy available over time.
Can this run my household appliances?
Match the nameplate wattages, startup demands and expected runtime to the station specifications, and use qualified installation for home-circuit connections.
